About Love That Never Happened

When night shall come again

We both will find ourselves some company

For me to show how much I don't need you

For you to show how much you don't need me

As time goes by day after day

All the desires and our love will fade away

Or was it simply lust?

So sweet and so robust

Delicious aftertaste of others body 

Is what's left ov us

The emptiness inside means that we lost our trust

And winds in our hearts are blowing round nostalgic dust of past

To me this poem literally hinges on the phrase 'or was it lust'. The left-afters of a love affair are the grist of so much art. Your poem gets to the heart of it. I understood and felt this poem. A great poem.

Nostalgic dust, True line, I read letters to day of sparks,flames,holes carved in each others hearts,souls ,spirits,the words theirs mine alive on the letters old ,but I put the crying back in the trunk you you you I'll ....pound the hollow pump,find a number to prime.
