Pride

My mind keeps wondering through space and time
What's meant to happen and what's gone
Learning to live and seeing though lies
I realize what I despise

Open my heart with good intensions
Sure to receive another stab
Playing along with all pretensions 
What's left for me is just a scab

My horse is tall, I ride with pride
Surround my castle with steel wall
Move on with smile, no denial
Was born to fly and not to crawl

I really like the last line "Was born to fly and not to crawl" It is a very powerful line, and I like the meaning behind it as well, it is a good closing line. I also really like the way this poem flows from one stanza to the next each one different but with some of the same general meaning behind it which I like.

This invokes a wonderful uplifting image. The woman who has cast of the shackles and rides gallantly and with grace upon the shores of life, so that all who see can know that they too, can rise above those anchors of darkness.

indeed... there is a life story about a close friendship that fell apart in a very painful way... alas... nonetheless life goes on and I am well off and happy... any experience is just another lesson from the Universe! It'll all only a blessing!
