Is the new you really better?

You look behind you at the past you left 

You look at the memories that you had 

You looked at the stuff you wrote and said 

The past which is now gone and dead 

You realize you were much happier then 

That before you had a different perspective

Before you would laugh at stupid things 

but now none of it seems to have any meaning 

You wonder if the new you is truly better 

You remember your past and how you helped before 

There is no turning back now, you shut it down 

You left it behind to start again 

You said that you would start new 

but is the now better than the past you?
