My Lovers Lie

My Lovers Lie

A Poem by RoxyMonoxide
"

The bitter reality of realising your spouse doesn't love you any longer, but stays with you for reasons unknown.

"

Liar, Liar, speaking shite
In the darkness of the night,
What immoral hand or eye
Could justify your fearful lie?

What despair, what shrieks and cries
Would quench the burning of your lies?
To what end do you aspire
To be your causes greatest liar?

Where the place, there you did grasp,
That twist the sinews of your art?
And then your art began to walk
Who taught you to speak the shite you talk?

What the hammer? What that sickle?
Could make a snake so sleek and fickle?
And what the tractor? What machine?
What the f**k do you actually mean?

And when love threw down herself,
And gave to you her mental health,
Did you smile your work to see?
Was it you who smiled, or was it she?

Liar Liar, speaking shite,
In the darkness of the night,
What immoral hand or eye
Would justify your fearful lie?

Gee
Will have to show this to a good friend who is in the throes of a bitter divorce, her husband being a prize prick. Many will without doubt relate to this piece.
Good morning
