Fairness

Fairness

A Poem by Roxie Martelli

An age before its time, fate has a way of making people turn into unfriendly faces.

Backwards living becomes quite tedious, burdonsome spirituality that cuts to the bone.
Fairness never seemed to come back home. She stole the child, sent in a changling of
different expectatons of bitter resentment and an adult full grown. Blink of an eye, betrayed by
a saving grace.

I'll never blink again.

You have beautiful wit and vision and I adore the messages in your young uncomplicated mind. Continue your writing...I appreciate your words as they resonate in the soul. That first line just hooks me and "backwards living becomes quite tedious....." reveals your tender age but with old grace. Laughing on the "burdensome spirituality" bit as so many repose the new age scene but don't look within or out with enough depth so it is as you say it is. Interesting about the parenting line and hope you see she did you a favor so far. Young and pure.
