One Look

One Look

A Poem by Roxie Martelli
"

One of my oldest pieces. this was when I was in 6th grade. I tend to stay away from the 2004 stuff because it gets rather dark and depressing, this one was worth note I think.

"

One Look (sometime in 04)

When the souless eyes
look to you what do you
say to them? How do you
react to the blank stare
that looks into, through, and around you?
React with feeling,
passion so they may feel something.
Stimulating enthusiasim through
the mind. with one gesnture, it
can change their world.

I see two images in this poem: looking into the eyes of a dead man or a person divorced from the world; uncaring and unfeeling.
