A Poem by Roxie Martelli
"

pretty much my stab at descriptive poetry

"

Tranquility, the thick silence engulfs the senses.

I breath deep the calm, stilled air

My eyes close, the drapes are drawn

My soul no longer for those to bear

I sit, careful not to move.

The feeling is fleeting, I hope to preserve it.

In my silence, I revell at life.

The world moves around my immobile form.

Drops, suddenly disrupt my Eutopic moment.

Thunderious drops elicit from the sink

As if bombs have shattered the sound barrier

The doors of the mind have been slammed shut

I stand in my lathargic moment

Stretching my limbs of the silent magic

The room speeds, the world returns, I embed the moment

everlasting, ever silent, ever free

within my own psyche
