Curiosities Mistress

Curiosities Mistress

A Poem by Roxie Martelli
"

This is prolly a lame attempt at a Green Day-esq song. I'm not sure. I was 14 at the time and it just sorta came out. Do with it what you will. Keep in mind the time it was when I wrote it. haha

I sit into the same routine
wondering what my life will be

Having nothing better to do is
to sit in misery [misery]

Slowely going crazy fighting
this curiosity

banging my head against the wall
aint doing nothing for me

I can't really say I know where to go
But we're gonna have fun, thats all I know

We get along best we can, nuff to get by
So we gotta stop wonderin or we'll waste time

I sit into the same routine
wondering what my life will be

Having nothing better to do is
to sit in misery [misery]

Shut up and enjoy the ride
this aint gonna last forever

Curiosities mistress leaves so soon
What happened to her? X3 last line

It is supposed to give a feeling of uneasiness, about not knowing what the future will hold. Ah, its not really initially about drugs, but if thats what you got out of it, then thats what you got out of it. Poetry is interesting like that. Multiple meanings from one piece. Not one of my favorite pieces, but its here.

Is this about drugs lol? I didnt really understand this that much. But it gave me a feeling of uneasiness. Was it suppose to do that?
