Too much to ask?

Too much to ask?

A Poem by Green Eyed Devil
"

Well, is it too much to ask?

"

Why am I still single, you ask?
I’ve been asked this many times before!
My problem is no matter whom I get,
I want more, more, more!

Now I don’t think I’m picky,
Maybe you will disagree,
But you have to live up to these standards,
If you ever want a date with me.

I want tall, dark and handsome,
Charming and funny, too!
Someone to hold me tightly,
Make me smile when I’m blue.

I want big, strong and muscular,
Gentlemanly and courteous, too!
Someone fearless and manly,
Yet they’ll always say “I love you!”

I want caring, kind and gentle,
Loyal and compassionate, too!
Someone who’d rather stay at home with me,
Than be in the pub ‘til half-past two

Is that too much to ask?
I’ve asked this too many times before!
But this always seems to be the case,
Before long, I’m showing them the door!

Why am I still single, you ask?
Its men, darling – it’s true!
And as I always like to say,
“It’s not me, it’s you!”

Definitely a good case of what most men (and women) try to avoid; someone that's never happy with their partner. =P
Nice write, hope the contest went well.
