I wrote this for my friend. Her love left her for another woman and she was forced to watch them together everyday after.

I've been beaten

Thrown down and kicked aside

Left and lost

Never again to see the sky

 

You call me perfect

You call me sweet

You call me all these things

And I know you don't truly know me

 

Far from perfect

Far from great

Just come close

And listen to my heart break

 

A sniffle here

A tear there

I've been beaten

Replaced and forgotten

 

You found someone better

Makes me look like dust

Just passing by

And swept aside

 

I see the pictures

You happy with her

I try to smile

But I know she is better

 

Happy for you

I cry for me

Tears shed

I no longer can see

 

Heart breaking

Hands shaking

Don't know what to do

I don't know how much longer I can go

 

The ugly truth

Shoved straight in my face

Glad you found and now see

That you don't love me

Though basic, this poem expresses the hurt that your friend felt. I think the last four lines:
