You Don't Care

You Don't Care

A Poem by Rowena Slade

You ask how I'm feeling,

But how can I explain.

There's too many feelings to count.

So I'll tell you

What you want to hear,

Even though I'm a confused mess

That's slowly dying inside.

You probably don't care anyways,

So why should I tell you?

You don't care that I'm confused,

Pained,

Depressed,

Sad,

Angry,

Hurt,

Happy,

Guilty,

And broken

All at once

Every day.

You wouldn't care if I dyed.

So I won't tell you,

'Cause I know

You don't care.
