Living SupernovaA Poem by Rowen CameronThe most beautiful and unique occurrences are the unexpected. And when you capture them, they burn even brighter.
The scene a misty monochrome,
Skies a murky sea of shale. Beleaguered mind without a home, Dreams beneath a faded veil. Stagnant, Unending, Vigour descending, Threads of joy increasingly frail. Slowly colour permeates the norm, Foreseen by none and warm to behold. Bright and pure yet human in form, An aura to echo the heart of gold. Zestful, Alluring, Ever assuring, Presence worthy of heroes of old. Sparks erupt at a touch so small, Aurora Borealis climbing higher. Enfolding arms, I dissolve in thrall, As sparks ignite unquenchable fire. Magic, Enchanting, Darkness recanting, Embracing the flames beyond desire. Honeyed words dispel pretences, Shaping euphoria one cannot define. Warm effusions crumble defences, As happiness pure traverses the spine. Wondrous, Surprising, Spirits arising, An earthly dream somehow now mine. The scene a painted canvas bright, Skies a shining azure sea. Contended mind to dwell in light, Dreams to share in company. Happy, Reviving, Fierily thriving In the supernova holding me.
