Mountain SunriseA Poem by RougeAngelnature poem. The sun's first rays pierce the air And the mountainside is washed in a symphony of color. The gray-hued granite transforms into a vibrant vermillion And the pines that dot the slopes are ablaze in the light. The lake's surface is as smooth as a mirror, Reflecting the heavens and the steep apline cliffs. Everywhere is light and life, shining for all to see. The gleam of the water and the sparkle of the stone shore, A testiment to God's work. His fingerprint is on the towering peak to the south, His paintbrush strokes on the life-filled slopes to the north. The sun's light reflects off of the lake like thousands of crystals, So brilliant but you can't look away. Can you see the angels smiling? Can you hear the flutter of their wings as the waves slide across the shore? Everyday the majesty of this places shows. Everytime one is left breathless and in awe of God's Whispered greeting to each new day. © 2009 RougeAngelAuthor's Note
