Play On

Play On

A Poem by RougeAngel

I walk into a place so familiar and

I'm greeted by the sound of the ivory keys.

Almost effortlessly your fingers caress the piano,

Creating a melody that ebbs and flows like the ocean's tide.

The notes echo in the space and

Each one speaks volumes.

You weave a tapestry rich

In memories and emotion,

Making me laugh, cry and think.

It is wonderful to listen to and I know

You make the angels smile.

So play on, friend.

Fill the world with your music.

Play even if you think no one is listening,

Someone is.

Play on...

Very inspiring. The poem has a playful, thoughtful mood.

I had the sense the poem was trying to tell me 'yell out into the nothingness because eventually someone will hear you.' a very clever little write.

I like this. It's something I can relate to life. No matter how strong the storm is or how careless people are, life should not lay dormant with time. It should be lived. It should be enjoyed. Afterall, one can't tell what lies ahead. This is such an encouraging piece.

This poem was so graceful and simple. Delicate and clear. I loved the directness and sweetness of it. It is one thing to be "good with words" it is another thing to edit those words to the point of clarity and delicacy.

Very well done.
