Waiting For Your Voice

Waiting For Your Voice

A Poem by RougeAngel

Where are you, my love?

We haven't spoken in days.

I haven't seen you in months.

It feels like we've been apart for years...

I just need to hear your voice.

Your voice...

It covers me like blanket,

Taking away the chill left by loneliness.

It is what I live for when you are gone...

Just to hear you again.

"I love you."

"I miss you."

"I need you."

Such simple phrases...

They heal the wounds left by distance.

How long must I wait to hear you again?

It is always unknown to me, so uncertain.

Something is certain, however...

I love you.

And I would wait for all eternity...

I would wait to have one moment with you,

To kiss you just once,

To breathe the same air you do,

To hear you speak even if it was hardly a whisper...

I would wait...

I will wait for you.

This is a good poem. I like how it goes from asking where are you to I will wait for you. This is well written. Very good.
