Simple Serenity

Its the sunshine that warms your face,

The cool breeze slicing through the summer heat.

 

Its the billowing clouds soaring in the sky

And the rain that comes to quench the land's thirst.

 

Its simple serenity.

 

Its the glistening lake that winks in the sun's rays,

The waves that push against the sandy shore.

 

Its the nightsky untouched by clouds,

Revealing brilliant stars and the soothing moonlight.

 

Its simple serenity.

 

Its knowing who made those stars shine

And who put the sun in place.

 

Its spending time with Him

And resting in His presence.

 

Its simple serenity.
