December sonnetA Poem by Kevin WilliamsWinter amongst us here in the USA sonnet bringing it to life
The glacial winds whistle through bare branches.
As trees' are abased of their foliage. Cold air stiffens their limbs, who're now branchless. As winter starts to unveil her voyage. An azure lake becomes, an opaque plain. A snowflake descends upon the terrain. As clouds garner to begin their campaign. Winter has arrived to set her domain. The landscape turns into a blank canvas. While snow lies still, to fauna's warm foot prints. They will embrace the icy, snow to converse. Looking for the ground hog with his spring hints. Yearning for the dogwood and it's sweet scent. Eager to egress this winter's segment. © 2014 Kevin Williams |
