Bend the light

Bend the light

A Poem by Sigrún's musings

If your eyes could swallow me whole

Would your irises taste my rage,

Reflect it, black?

Would your corneas digest my shame,

Spit it out, putrid?

Like a bird-mother, would you feed me chewed-up remedies

That might calm the questions writhing,

Underneath my translucent skin?

a lot of talk to walk within this one.

this is a powerfully defiant cry.. it stopped me mid breath.. I have actually had to read it more than once to take it all in..
