Distance wasn't the problem, you were.

I wrote this poem when I was in a really dark place. I hope you can feel the way I felt through my writing with this one. Enjoy.

They say that when you love someone it follows you everywhere

It follows you through the summer days and even the winter nights

But nobody told me it didn't run through your veins or make your heart pump faster when you were around me

Nobody told me that you lost interest as fast as you gained it

Nobody told me you were too much of a coward to even say goodbye

Nobody told me you would move on without one look back  and maybe that's the thing about love

Everyone tells you that love follows you everywhere but nobody tells you when it's shadow disappears
