She never says goodbye

She never says goodbye

A Poem by Rossen

she never says goodbye
not really
her thief of time...
...waiting

reflections of yesterday
gloss her chambray colored eyes

she remembers the moments
the flickering porch light
shadow dancing moths
imagined kisses and slow
porch swings...

the taste of honey licked off
the side of her hand
the sensation of lemonade
splashing her toes
whispers of chimes past
hang still...

You paint a magnificent picture...This is truly lovely, yet the void is felt... I loved how you touched the senses..I can feel, taste, hear the sensations in this romantic piece. Nice work!

and here i am again, still so much beauty in your photographs
It's wonderful the way you describe the protagonist, the details you delve into and the way you give the reader a vicarious sense of living the past. Nicely done Rossen.

Just a typo - It should be spelled says and not say's in the first line.
