So Real it Hurts

So Real it Hurts

A Poem by Rossen
"

see you in your dreams

"
Writing through the night with out making a sound
watching her sleep ringlets close to the ground
falling in love over and over again
her perfect glow stirring my pen

she is dreaming with smiles and giggles
always turning into me with cozy wiggles
pure soft skin bared to my eyes
I write to her sweet lullabies

she inhales softly and purrs a warm breeze
takes me by surprise when I write one of these
I cry sometimes, I call it liquid of joy
words come to me, a kid and his toy

her love reassures this man with everything
because she loves me I cherish this shiny ring
so this midnight I look at my favorite scene
the one who writes me, is only my dream ~

very nice rhyme!! the couplets - the syllable choice does indeed make it a slower read so your intentions are met! great imagery too - nice write!

Liquid of joy. I like that.
A warm, sensual, loving Ode.
excellent in slo-mo, or regular speed.

Oh, the rhyme is fantastic. It is quirky, strange and blends the whole piece together beautifully , and the surreal atmosphere of this work is mesmerizing. Dream and memories are a poet's lifeline and you have articulated that brilliantly. We do live in a world of our own, and that dreamy world is all consuming.
