Under The Crescent Moon

Under The Crescent Moon

A Poem by Rossen
"

<--Artemis--<<-

"

Pulling her aim from the corner of her mouth
Her golden arrow whistled south...

The queen of the beast, in her chariot of gold
pulled by four golden horn deer, as the myth
is told...

The huntress of the wildlands stalking her pray
through darkest forest mist
pure gleams of gold... light her way

With her seven b*****s born ... the finest of the
Arcadian race

She hunted down Chione...the Princess of Pokis...
and shot out her tongue, straight through her face

                     <----Artemis----<<-

Twin sister of Apollo..God of music and poetry
This huntress carries the golden bow of vanity

Look into the stars, twelve hours past noon
See her golden light... under the crescent moon

I was thinking Diana was Goddess of the Hunt and or is it moon? I know Artemis is also a Goddess of Hunt and Apollo was her twin ..
Rather than delving into something I know little of .. I will say this poem is really well written , more so it is interesting .. She sounds like a bad ____. Would not want to cross her!
I like this last verse: ( all are good )

"Twin sister of Apollo..God of music and poetry

See her golden light under the crescent moon"

Beautiful poem, Rossen.

I don't know much about Greek mythology yet I like it, I think it's a very interesting subject and would love to study it someday.
You introduce us Artemis with impact - in a very powerful way. I really enjoyed reading it.
