The Poem Is The Poet Himself

The Poem Is The Poet Himself

A Poem by Ross Emerson Realino

He screams in silence
Writes letters in the dark
Breaks his own heart
For you have tore it apart
Empty but full of sorrow
Loves you like there's no tomorrow
Oftenly ignored and hated
For being true and insane
Sees the world and all the lies
Gets a rope, on the tree he ties

Wow that's alot of pain. I don't want to comment on the emotion, just the construction. The unmetered rhyme comes off pretty disjointed. I think you could tighten that up, use a rhyming meter, like line 1 no rhyme, line 2 and 3 rhyme, line 4 no rhyme, line 5 and 6 rhyme.

About
I used to try writing songs before but I can't make one, so I tried to find something where I can put my early works of lyrics. Until they were turned into poems. I started poetry when I was 16 years .. more..
