1998A Poem by Ross Emerson Realino
Time is never the same at all
A path of no return Leaving the memoirs of youth Where our lives our forever changed We will never be the same We're now different at all The more you grow, the less you laugh The more you change, the less you feel And we know we're never sure What it's like behind the wall I feel the urgency of change Will there be another chance? Undescribable moments in life The impossible might be possible But sometimes it never will Everybody wants to stay young We'll crucify the insincere today Sometimes I breakdown without knowing Like a feeling of emptiness in a crowd Sitting on a cloud, life is a short ride Sooner or later, we'll all be gone Days when we're young, wild and free I don't want to perish like the sunset Many things might happen in a snap With fingers pointing at the dawn We feel the pull of hands of tomorrow Faster than the speed of sound Then my inner ghouls whisper "This is an emergency call Where do we go from here?" I'm scared of what will be Of where I'll be and who I'll be I'm drowning into the unknown I'm flying under the sea of time Our voices were kept in a bottle Can anybody hear us call? A trash of friends from nearby They'll cast a shadow on your way Tell me which card to flip over Now you know who's real and fake Nothing is real While living in reality We are the puppets of our dreams And the killers of our hopes Oh yesteryears, why don't you stay Maybe we can spend another day But now your love just disappeared Over the velvet sunset of youth © 2017 Ross Emerson RealinoAuthor's Note
