Esther's Playground

Esther's Playground

A Poem by Ross Emerson Realino

Alone inside these four walls
Silence whispered as the night falls
With lights off and candles on
Her daily mantra plays on and on

Shattered glass that she'll pick and drop
Photographs of you with stains on top
Play hide-and-seek inside her dream
A rush of blood will float upstream

She let it bleed with smiles in her eyes
She kept them frozen in a box of ice
Set a tea party on fire for fun
Then burned them freely in the midnight sun

Is it their head or the picture that swings
In a pendulum, they hang as she sings
You're a prisoner in the doll she plays
She will love you in a hundred ways

About
I used to try writing songs before but I can't make one, so I tried to find something where I can put my early works of lyrics. Until they were turned into poems. I started poetry when I was 16 years .. more..
