Solitary Confinement

Solitary Confinement

A Poem by Ross Emerson Realino

People diving into champagne glasses
Break into silence and thousand pieces
Spilled souls that flood the sea
Lost in misery where no one will see

Crying people smile upside down
Fishes force themselves to drown
Tying shoelace around their necks
Test papers marked with a bloody "X"

People are in billions but she's the one
Sudden encounters faded and gone
All the lovers and friends you missed
They left you alone in the mist
