High School Memoir

High School Memoir

A Poem by Ross Emerson Realino

They won't listen and never will
Though you took hours to stand still
You aren't seen till you've finished speaking
They know you but you are nothing

You walk through the wall
And float until you fall
The moment has already passed
They seem to disappear too fast

You just returned to your seat
And stare at the wall of s**t
From a great height, everything fell
Smiled so sad upon the ringing of the bell

What a wonderful day it is
Such a fine weather it is
Riding homeward into the gray
You just wiped that tear away
