Afternoon Hysteria

Afternoon Hysteria

A Poem by Ross Emerson Realino

A drop-dead girl I recently knew
Seems so gothic and truly artistic
Strange yet likes to rock and roll
Quite emotional in her own little way

The park is where she waited for a bus
A ride that will take her homeward from us
Never in a hurry, away from worry
It's such a calm and hot afternoon

Taking her seat with perfect strangers
When a psychotic man made his last movie scene
Turning the bus into an insane machine
And she was seized with his dirty tricks

Down to the point of his pen or ice pick
Touching her neck to the edge of death
Passengers jumped from the window
And called the policemen to save the day

Shot to death as she put herself out
Streamed the headlines of that f*cking day
And made her existence in my curiosity
That may lead to something special for me

About
I used to try writing songs before but I can't make one, so I tried to find something where I can put my early works of lyrics. Until they were turned into poems. I started poetry when I was 16 years .. more..
