Defunct Infatuation

Defunct Infatuation

A Poem by Ross Emerson Realino

I guess it's time to wake up from this dream
An illusion that you're the one for me
Caught up in a shattered dream
And all that remain is a kiss of reality

And so I write this stupid piece
To forget the feeling of being seen
Because everytime I try to please
It just leaves me hanging on the line as if I'm mean

For all the jealousy in my mind I play
It may be wrong to doubt for just the same
But I guess someone has already swept your heart away
And left us still strangers to ourselves and who's to blame

The rain may end except for the truth it will bring
And still fool myself that we can be
That you belong to me will always be a myth I'm believing
It is now clear that the world is too cynical for us to see

Maybe I might be with you in every glance
Or there is less chance for you to fall
Maybe I'll be just seeing you from the distance
Or end up nothing to say at all

About
I used to try writing songs before but I can't make one, so I tried to find something where I can put my early works of lyrics. Until they were turned into poems. I started poetry when I was 16 years .. more..
