Requiem

Requiem

A Poem by Ross Emerson Realino

Angels are falling from the sky
Like withered leaves of the warm winter
They grimly laugh aloud as they fall on the roofs
And crawled all their way to darkness

I looked at the mirror but its not me
I switched on the light but another hand was there
I lit up a candle but another candle lighted
I knocked on the door but the other side knocked

I've got to go but my feet are heavy
Someone hummed a mantra of a threnody
No one is here except for me and a kid
He seemed so nice except for his grin

My psychotic neighbors came to visit me
To smile and help me carry on
As they altogether sing my last song tonight
For I may never witness daylight again

Excellent wording, real dark and chilling stuff, intermingled with intrigue and mystery. Your descriptive powers are fantastic! I really like this poem, it could easily become an entire story. I hope you're proud of it and yourself! X

About
I used to try writing songs before but I can't make one, so I tried to find something where I can put my early works of lyrics. Until they were turned into poems. I started poetry when I was 16 years .. more..
