Absent ExistenceA Poem by Ross Emerson Realino
A maple leaf carelessly flows on the endless river
Heading to somewhere, floating downstream Birds in platoon fade through the clouds of cream Venturing to somewhere anything is limitless Sunset closes my eyes as it hides beneath the horizon Everything is now clearer with my eyes closed You are now somehow closer to my heart Watching the rain of fire falling from the sky is somehow tragic But watching you dream as I dream is somewhat worthful than living The bottle is where I keep the time alone with you I'll be sending it to the lonely sea of blue Where eternity is waiting at the horizon for me and you Our souls are only coming through in waves Our hands felt just like two balloons Lifting us up to where we belong But I am now all alone again as always On the chains of clouds where I rest Watching down people live in illusion and greed From friends to lovers, they are all just the same Where I am just another passing day for them Making me feel like I've never been born at all All in all, nobody wants to listen to a fool like me Even my own shadow won't lend an ear The rainy sky is my only friend It never let me down to the deepest pain It never fail, it never falter But I will always be useless as what they use to say © 2015 Ross Emerson RealinoAuthor's Note
