Tragedy of Unrequited Love

Tragedy of Unrequited Love

A Poem by Ross Emerson Realino

Once there was a way to get back home
And it haunts me like the springtime in Rome
Where the flowers bloom and the sun will shine
Like the lovely lady that I thought she was mine

I flew across the endless sky
To search for the love that I can't buy
She took my eyes with her radiant smile
And had her a stroll for a very while

We danced the waltz, round and round
And said I love you without a sound
But then I knew all along
That anything could go wrong

I opened up my eyes
And found myself alone above a raging sea of ice
That stole my only fantasy
And drowned her deep inside of me

About
I used to try writing songs before but I can't make one, so I tried to find something where I can put my early works of lyrics. Until they were turned into poems. I started poetry when I was 16 years .. more..
