The Unmasked SocietyA Poem by Ross Emerson Realino
We were all born greedy
Controlled by a bias society We all die alone Where happiness in the face wasn't shown We people ask for a change For the value of wealth they exchange Then you elected an idiot man Watch him become a god for his own desire and fun Nobody deserves to be called a hero If behind every success is an ego The wise man embarrasses the sick As if he forgotten his lessons when he was weak See the blind vendor on the street He never complained about the heat But look at that discontented noble Wishing for a plastic face to make his fame stable Friends aren't real Like playing cards that don't reveal They'll bring you down someday And leave you along the way Be prepared for their friendly sabotage For you'll never know when you'll have to dodge Today is a joyful chat time they send And tomorrow is another story, my friend To conquer the world is our goal Where shadows are taller than our soul We have seen the contrast of before and after When the forests will gently echo with laughter Religion separates our our worlds apart It drags away the intention of your heart Like a mystery that's never been solved And a nonsense conflict that can't be dissolved Opportunity knocks once But failure knocks in advance You can't always get what you wanted And you receive less than what you worked with The only reality in this world is death You've got to hold every moment with a deep breath Don't fear about the reaper He's gonna find a place for the deep sleeper And so I hope for future's sake That evil must not wake Never let confusion make you blind From the truth that was left behind © 2015 Ross Emerson RealinoAuthor's Note
