I WISH THINGS COULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT

We all make mistakes

My son I just want you to know
from the bottom of my heart I wish things
could have been so different all though
the years when you missed out on motherly
affection battered and bruised by a broken
mum that wasn't much fun.
Just a boy longing to be loved you where
that delightful first son.
I am sorry for emotionally, physically,
neglecting you and destroying your life
to the utter most extreme.if I could kiss it better
I probably would. But in all my pain I was
blinded by hurt.
hurting people hurt others
so I just wanted to say I tried to love you
in my own way.
I know that wont make up for all the heartache
that you have been through you are not a bad
person please just remember that yo are carrying
around a lot of broken wounds.
I ask you first son can you ever forgive me
for the past I just want to say
please forgive me but if you don't
I will understand for you did not deserve
the life that you got.

Hopefully, your son knows these sentiments and has forgiven you. I've wondered if my mother might have thought such things, but from the grave, she can't tell me. Good for you to have not waited so long.
