HOMELESS

HOMELESS

A Poem by ROSALIND
"

I have been there done that .....

"
Sitting all alone on a dusty street
with nothing to eat all by myself.
with no where to go,
nor no bed to call my own.
wet and windy damp all through.
God help the homeless tonight?

Sitting on a damp cold ground
waiting for a pound.
  Strangers     passing me by
"please" Sir' can you spare
some cash.
Every person walks by with a
pride full look, Why they don't
give a toss. after all it not
their mess

No bed for tonight?
until Fate arrives at my door.
A kind lady with a kind face
takes pity on me and offers
me a five pound note.
At least I have food tonight.
that's comfort enough for me.

this one i can relate to because I've been there I think you've done a great job capturing the feeling one goes through when caught in that predicament.
great job, well done.
