Lonely

Lonely

A Poem by ROSALIND

Last year I never thought this time would come
when you slipped into the other room.
Lots of things left unsaid
The lost mins hours mths I cannot imagine. Never knew the person that sat in that chair .
The rough moments the hopelessness
of the pandemic
the last moments were stolen
Don't suppose I'll ever recover
What I really want to write about is brokenness

So filled with grief and emptiness is this short poem. It is raw. I hope with time your grief softens. Sending my sincere condolences on your sad loss Rosalind.

Grief pervades this one. These last few years have dealt many such blows, but this offering conveys the pain with a deeply moving economy of words. May you come to terms with this loss as much as possible.

Much appreciated John 😘
The pandemic took many from us and left many without even the chance to say goodbye. I cannot even imagine what that feels like. This poem touched my heart.

Hello dear Rosalind. A poem bleeding with sadness. You allowed the reader to feel your lost and your sadness. Brokenness is the old man poetry. I do the old man poetry now. Powerful and worthwhile poetry shared my dear friend.
