Monster insomnia

Monster insomnia

A Poem by ROSALIND

I want sleep
I need to sleep
My sleep won't come
battling with the pillows
Trying to put them into a comfortable place
I rub my eyes
Stretch
Yawn
Pull the covers over my face
I get frustrated
Flustered
Leaving me perplexed
I give in
Slide out of bed
Feeling
Weary
Worn
and
Sad.

Insomnia can often be a tough thing to conquer, but it all happens with time...I try to just occupy my mind until I have nothing left to give, then try to lay down and see if sleep will take me for awhile. I know it's different for everyone, but we all have our nights where they drag on for far too long it seems.
