Inner voice

Inner voice

A Poem by ROSALIND
"

my journey through counseling

"

My inner voice has spoken
It has revealed a dark secret of shame
This shame  I carried around in a rucksack
So heavy
To  big to carry on my own.
So I lay it down and asked
For a shoulder to cry on.
I cried  until my  cheeks were red raw.
The anguish
The hurt
The pain
The anger
It weighed down my heart
To the point of desperation
The time
The place of hell
Were my life
Was no longer worth living.
I  was almost ready too.
Jump
Until a voice said
You are worth more than this
You   don't deserve
To end it this way.
You are created in my image.
Then I knew inside me
The  God that I had been searching for
Had saved me .
