A batttered Child

A batttered Child

A Poem by ROSALIND

hush little darling don't you cry
Mommas gonna wipe that smile
left all alone to face my fears
With nobody around
battered into tiny pieces
My self-esteem is low
broken bruised  in many  places

That was defiantly a blow
No love
No comfort
nor encouragement
But a life lived in constant fear.
Of a brutal mother
And what she would
do to me.............
