Trapped in my thoughts

Trapped in my thoughts

A Poem by ROSALIND

Walking through a dark eery ground.
my foot stumbled along a path of
sharpened thorns trapping my hand
on a beds of thorns. As I lay trapped
in thought, blood trickled from a wound
deep imbedded to the window of my soul.
Upward the moon rose like a pillar of smoke
The field splat out the dead arrivals
of cold blooded wars that ended in fate...
For two decades men fought a bloody
poison battle again and again,
Fighting for freedom,
Free to walk in the land of time......
