MR KETCHUP'S LAZY AFTERNOONA Story by ROSALINDCry baby and stroppy stripey courgette face.
Another Day In the life of Mr Ketchup's Mad House.
Its another pleasant day outside said Mr Ketchup. He was looking forward to a lazy day in his pyjamas but that seemed to good to be true, because Stroppy Stripey Courgette Face and her sister wrote a letter to Sweet Potato Face to ask if they could pop over for the weekend, But Mr Ketchup wasn't having any of it. He said time and time again They always out stayed their welcome. And besides he had better things to do other than keep them amused. Sunday was his day of rest and nothing or nobody would stand in his way, He seemed very determined or so he thought. Sweet Potato Face could charm her way around Mr Ketchup's affections, well most of the time but this time it was different.Mr Ketchup bluntly said no, But he soon changed his mind to keep the peace. But then he had a idea, he quickly put his coat on and strolled up a steep hill to sweet talk Haggis into doing him a favor. " I'' have to think about that one replied Haggis it all depends, On Tuesday I have to wait in for the plumber, You see I have been having some problems with my boiler I will let you know tomorrow. " Oh bother Moaned, Mr Ketchup that will be to late I need to know before Saturday because you see Sunday Is my day of rest I really do need to put my feet up a bit, lately I have been running there and everywhere My poor feet feel like they are about to fall off." The very next morning Mr Ketchup woke up rather late. The clock chimed eleven but really it was ten o clock but Mr Ketchup wasn't aware of the real time, O dearie Me he'd forgot to turn back the clocks the night before. Oh in that case I better let Neaps know If He can pick up Sweet Potato Face, Cousins from the railway station, I am sure He won't mind I just give him a buzz and see what he is up too . "Hello is that You Neaps, Listen you couldn't do me a big favor this morning' could you.'? "eek...!. "Whats wrong with You now inquired Mr Ketchup. Oh I just clapped my eyes on a grey mouse I hate Them could you please come around right away with your mouse trap." Oh okay then moaned Mr Ketchup he'd had better things to do like laze about in his pyjamas all day long. Mr ketchup needed to be on his own, if he could only get out of going to the railway station, then so be it ... Oh well bang goes my lazy day today I just have to forget it. Poor Mr Ketchup he had been looking so forward to his lazy day in his pyjamas but he needed to avoid her cousins... And It had certainly been rather a tiring day so far.... Soon he arrived at Neaps house to find that he just gone out Mr ketchup had been slow at arriving He had gone out to to buy some mouse traps from Yellow market as you can imagine Mr Ketchup was furious and off he stomped home again. What a day it had been and still he had forgotten all about Cry Baby, and Stroppy Stripey Courgette Face. Oh Fiddle sticks he cried I never make it to the railway station in time. Just then a taxi pulled over and the door opened wide, You're never guess what.? Out came Sweet Potato Cousins. That's torn it now, One thing is for sure Bang goes my lazy day. No peace for the wicked eh... © 2012 ROSALIND |
