BENEATH SOMETHING..A Poem by ROSALINDStuck in a rut .
There in a forest
Stood some trees among the grass Where some flowers growing wildly above the earth Across the road up a steep hill was a house In all its beauty and pride In the garden my eyes glazed in awe At the beauty of a single rose Full of vibrant sunset rays. Looking at the wonder of God's awesome creation I couldn't fault. Earth wood bound I new some day I'd reach the sky High above in the heavens I longed for something better My spirit starved of God's loving presence I waited And watched My heart ached with sadness As the day drew to darkness When will I be whole again My mind it keeps on playing Tricks, I walk no more And time has slowly ebbed away I woke up from this peculiar dream...... © 2012 ROSALIND |
