A Prayer at Dawn

A Prayer at Dawn

A Poem by Atthis Rose
"

This is another of Ruth's Poem composed during a dawn of reflection on her life and role in life. Please note the various aspects of womanhood as Goddess,Lady,Queen, Sister, Friend, Mother, Wife,Twin

"

O silver-clad radiant sphere hear my sigh

Titan Phoebe child of Gaia bend your ear

Shine on me your light- send me light, lend me your strength

Lady Luna bright queen of night grant my plea

Renew my soul brighten my hopes raise my spirits

So let me fly! Lift my spirit grant my dreams! - my heart’s renewer

O piercing light night sun-Hanwi  hear my voice

Wandering moon bright cleansing light see my heart

Kindred spirit my father’s kin calm my fears

Shine through me your light- unburden this my heart

Remove these hurts resolve my cares sweet sister

Carry my load so I may thrive! yes to rise- my burden bearer!

O Mawu Ma Western spirit hear your child

Wife of fierce Liza yet twins entwined sun and moon

Light of creation shine down on me  caress me!

Shine on me your light-undo me  remake me

Remold my soul in your womb rebirth me

Mother my hopes father my dreams embrace me!- my soul’s restorer

This was a nice read in flow and feel. I could hear someone saying this as dialouge in a book, if of course the book were written with a "classic" feel. I'll be quite interested to read it.

As for the piece...there is a lot going on. At first I didn't care for this, but then I got into it and it felt right. I like the references to goddess and womanhood.

One little question: Is it supposed to be "Oh"?

Of course...the "O" makes more sense to me now... :)
This was fun to read even if I can't personally connect with it. I could see it being in some epic novel, it's very convincing :) Great work.
