Love's JourneyA Poem by Rosemary Peelrhyming poem
Love’s Journey
Our love, just like people, Has mellowed with years; Moulded and strengthened By laughter and tears. What began in a flurry Of romance and fire; A whirlpool of feelings That sprang from desire Got caught in the struggle Of everyday life; In the ups and the downs Of a husband and wife: Caring for children, Curing their ills; Clothing and feeding And paying the bills. Yet strangely love deepened, To help all rifts heal; Above anger and sorrow Came warmth you could feel. And so romance lingers - In comforting mode; Love's bound us together, Through sharing the load. © 2012 Rosemary Peel |
