Freedom

Freedom

A Poem by RoseTree

I feel warm

Right to my core

To my very soul

Sunlight in my centre

Blanketing my skin

I breathe deeply and it fills me

I am consumed by heat

I am safe

I am loved

The pain is still there

It will always be there

It pushes against my mind

But the warmth

Oh, the warmth

It makes it bearable

Makes it only a brush

Barely there

Easily ignored

I am warm, I am safe

I am free
