I feel like I’m about to float away.

Like a helium balloon that hasn’t been tied down right.

I can feel myself slipping, the knot losing its hold.

It needs to be pulled tight.

But

Balloons don’t have hands.

I cannot save myself from this.

I think, if no one sees in time, I’m going to end up

Floating up,

up,

      up,

  and away…

That feeling can be both a curse and a blessing depending on the circumstances. Balloons make great metaphors. I like the change of format at the ending representing lift off.
