Armor AmourA Poem by AnnaI tried to save you And though full of reasons I’m not certain why-- In the middle of everything I gave up but I did try. Maybe it’s the scent of Dandelions that I miss. Something blissful about Being this homesick for this. I dove after you in groves Of black walnut trees Tearing up my favorite jacket Skinned my knees, and I-- And I fought river currents So you couldn’t shy Even farther from me. But you can’t save Drowning men By jumping in after them. © 2024 AnnaFeatured Review
