Rut

Rut

A Poem by Harley Rose

I wear my mask
As the days go on
Hiding the true me
From everyone
From the critics
From the strangers
From my friends
Hiding from the unsaid judgments
Fearing the inevitable
And when I get home at night
I cry myself
To a dreamless sleep
Over and over again
Continuing forever
In a never ending
Rut

This is a great poem on a feeling that everyone has felt. I was drawn in and remembered memories of wanting to put on my mask. Thank you I truly enjoyed reading.
