My Little Music Box

My Little Music Box

A Poem by Harley Rose

Being twirled to the point of dizziness

Being forced to hum my little tune

Weighed down with the secrets

All I was asked to hold

Over flowing with slips of paper

On every paper is a little thought

I could hold no longer

Placed it out of sight

Playing the once cheery melody

Now holds so many secrets it is

Weighed down with melancholy

Singing what it cannot say

My secrets are placed away in a little box

Whenever it is opened it sings out its sorrow

But I have set them all aside in

My little music box

As long as it makes sense to you, as you are the creator of this piece. Personally speaking
I write for me, and if others can relate, that's great, if not that's ok too. I liked this it almost seems like your music box is a metaphor for your poetry. But hey what do I know? Anyway I liked it!

Thank you!
I get the sense that this is about a grayed relationship. Where over time you no longer say what you want, and you keep secrets from eachother. I don't know. Perhaps that is not what you intended. Either way, a good write.
