As the Blue Bird SingsA Poem by Benjamin J.G.Essentially I got bored during English class, and started thinking of the world as it is today. This got me writing, and here's the product. I doubt it's finished, but it COULD be considered finished. As the blue bird sings, the circle of life moves on. With a melody as sweet as snow, proceeding 'til we're gone. Its gentle song carries through the terrors in its wake, The endless hours of torment, and burning at the stake.
Many children live and die in the minutes this song is sung, Many lives are prounounced done in the times the death bell is rung. Flames of chaos flood our lives with the oils our hatred brings, Lives will end and Kings will fall, all as the blue bird sings.
As the blue bird sings, the gentle peace will shatter, Hatred fuels this world, the winds shall make blood splatter. A mother with her child loses her man to heaven's call, To know her son now rules her, her life has just lost all.
Kings die in wars, Queens die by Kings. Their land is thrown into chaos, by what only time shall bring. As the whole world crumbles, control is lost by Kings. The world has gone to hell, all as the blue bird sings. © 2011 Benjamin J.G.Author's Note
